VITAL Wound Care
VITAL Wound Care provides an online platform enabling patients and healthcare providers to remotely have a consultation about wound injuries. Patients are able to take a picture with their smartphone of the wounded area and their provider can monitor its healing process through calibration technology. This technology is used to make accurate wound measurements by using an algorithm to calculate the dimensions and diameter of the wound. The patient is able to draw a circle around the wound and lines from each side of the wound to indicate the measurements. There are a variety of camera functions which ensures a good quality image of the wounded area so the doctor is able to monitor it properly.
With VITAL Wound Care patients do not have to worry about leaving the comfort of their homes or prolonging their injury. Healthcare providers have the opportunity to have more periodic meetings with the patients and also check on the status of the wound more frequently in real-time.
